Entry Form
|
Avoid the queues
- come prepared!
|
Spend less time filling in forms - more time enjoying the
show
Entry forms are, of course, available on the Saturday at
the Expo. However, why not avoid the queues and save time
by completing entry forms for your competition entries before
you head off to the show? This is especially recommended if
you wish to include long lists of modifications on your forms.
Do you prefer to write or type?
You may choose to either print blank forms and then fill
them in by hand (if you really just can't type) or fill them
in on your computer before printing, taking advantage of the
interactive, auto-fill properties of the form to save time.
Getting the form
The file is in Adobe PDF format - a convenient and widely
used method of sharing documents between computers. You will
require an Adobe PDF reader in order to view, fill-in and
print the form. If you need it, get Adobe
Reader here for free.

Filling out the
interactive form
|
Once the form has opened on your computer you may print as
many blank copies as you wish and then fill them out by hand.
Before you resort to this, however, consider using the following
method.
With the form open on your computer, move the mouse pointer
over the 'Name' field near the top of the form and when it
changes to a text cursor, click in the box and type your name.
Press the 'TAB' key on your keyboard to then move to the next
field, and so on.
Please note - Some of the
interactive functions of the form may not work as described
in older Adobe software. The form is still quite usable
although moving between fields with the TAB key may be unpredictable
(use your mouse instead), information entered into Part
A will not be automatically duplicated in Part B (you will
have to do a little more typing, or copy and paste) and
you may have to print from the application's tool bar or
menu instead using the 'Print' button on the bottom of the
form.
For the 'Competition category' field, click on the small
arrow at the right of the field and select the relevant category
from the drop-down list that opens. You may wish to read through
the competition information
page for assistance in determining the correct category
for your model. If you are still unsure then leave it blank
and ask at the Expo.
After entering the scale you will need to provide a name
for your entry in the 'Entry title' field. This name should
identify the model and could be something like; 'Supermarine
Spitfire Mk.8 of the RAAF', 'Black 1967 Corvette', or 'Star
Wars X-Wing fighter'.
Once you have completed Part A of the form, move down to
Part B. You will notice that any information already provided
by you in Part A will automatically appear in Part B. Here
you may wish to detail any modifications that you made to
the standard kit for consideration by the judges (Not appropriate
for any of the 'Out-of-the-box/enhanced' categories).
When ready, click on the 'Print' button at the bottom of
the form to print your finished entry form. If you have more
models to enter just make any necessary changes to the information
in Part B (Part A will be updated automatically) and then
print another. Repeat as necessary.
